Connect knowledge collections to avatars and configure domain-specific grounded responses.

Overview

Assigning knowledge collections to an avatar ensures that when visitors converse with that specific character, responses are retrieved strictly from the authorized document repositories.

Linking Knowledge Collections

In the dashboard, open Avatars > [Your Avatar] > Knowledge.

Check the boxes next to the knowledge collections you wish to connect (e.g., *Product FAQs*, *API Specs*).

Save changes.

Multi-Collection Routing

If an avatar is assigned multiple collections, the vector search engine performs federated search across all linked indices, ranking the most relevant passages regardless of which document source they originated from.
