Configuration
General Configuration
Master configuration reference for project metadata, regional routing, localization, and automated maintenance.
Overview
The General Configuration module controls global project behavior across both Development and Production environments. These settings govern timezone reporting, default UI languages, retention policies, and automated maintenance schedules.
Project Metadata & Identity
Every project maintains foundational metadata configured in Project > Settings:
- Project Name: The display title shown across the dashboard, telemetry reports, and billing invoices.
- Primary Domain: The canonical domain name where the primary assistant is deployed (e.g.
https://asiyst.com).
- Organization Namespace: The multi-tenant workspace namespace that groups projects and manages team RBAC permissions.
Localization & Timezone Settings
- Default Timezone: Used to aggregate analytics intervals, schedule daily re-crawlers, and time-stamp conversation transcripts (e.g.,
America/Los_Angeles,Europe/London,Asia/Tokyo).
- Default Locale: Configures default fallback strings for the SDK widget (e.g.,
en-US,es-ES,fr-FR,ja-JP).
- Auto-Detection: When enabled, the SDK reads
navigator.languagefrom the visitor's browser to localize greeting chips automatically.

Automated Maintenance Windows
Configure off-peak maintenance hours (e.g., Sundays at 03:00 UTC) for heavy vector re-indexing and database pruning to prevent any latency degradation during high-traffic hours.
