Create a Project
Step-by-step guide to provisioning a new project workspace via the dashboard, CLI, and REST API.
Overview
Provisioning a project establishes your assistant workspace, generates public and secret API keys, and initializes empty knowledge vector collections.
Creating via Dashboard
- Sign in to the Asiyst Dashboard.
- Click + New Project in the project switcher dropdown.
- Provide project details:
- Project Name: e.g.,
Acme Production Site- Website URL: e.g.,
https://acme.com- Timezone: e.g.,
America/New_York
- Click Create Project. Your
projectIdandpublicKeyare generated instantly.

Post-Creation Checklist
- Whitelist allowed domains in Project Settings > Allowed Domains.
- Connect at least one knowledge source (sitemap or markdown folder).
- Select an avatar character in Avatar Studio.
- Embed the SDK in your web application.
