Your First Assistant

Overview

An Assistant in Asiyst combines four core ingredients:

1. An Avatar visual model (3D or 2.5D illustration).

1. A System Prompt & Personality (tone, role, rules, constraints).

1. A Welcome & Greeting Policy (when and how it engages users).

1. Connected Knowledge Sources (where it searches for answers).

Assistant Personality

In the dashboard under AI Workspace -> Personality:

• Tone: Friendly & Helpful, Professional, Energetic, Calm, or Minimal.

• Custom System Instructions: Set explicit instructions for how the assistant handles inquiries, e.g.:

    You are the official product assistant for Acme Cloud.
  
    Always answer questions using our verified documentation.
    If pricing information is requested, refer to our standard tier pricing at /pricing.
    Keep answers under 3 concise paragraphs.

Greeting Behavior

Configure how the avatar interacts when a visitor lands on your page:

• Auto-Greeting: Show a greeting bubble after 3 seconds on page load.

• Greeting Text: "Hi! 👋 Need help finding anything on our site today?"

• Proactive Prompts: Display suggested question chips such as "How does pricing work?" or "View Documentation".

Avatar Selection

Choose an avatar from the built-in library in Avatar Studio:

• Style: Modern 3D, Stylized Character, Geometric Bot, or Corporate Guide.

• Animations: Idle floating, walking, waving on greet, thinking spinner.

Connecting Knowledge

Link at least one knowledge source (e.g., your homepage URL or FAQ document) so your assistant can answer user queries accurately. See Knowledge Base Overview.
