Getting Started
Create a Project
Configure new assistant workspaces, configure domain verification, and obtain project identifiers.
Overview
In Asiyst, a Project is the top-level boundary for assistant configuration, website domains, knowledge sources, and telemetry data. Each project possesses unique public keys and isolated conversational history.
Creating via Dashboard
- Sign in to the Asiyst Dashboard.
- Select Projects in the primary navigation sidebar and click + Create Project.
- Fill in the project details:
- Project Name: A descriptive name (e.g.,
Stripe Checkout Assistant).- Website URL: The URL where the assistant will be embedded (e.g.,
https://mysite.com).- Environment: Choose
developmentorproduction.- Primary Goal: Select whether the assistant focuses on navigation, sales, or support.
- Click Save & Continue.
Creating via CLI
You can also provision projects directly from your terminal using the Asiyst CLI:
# Authenticate the CLI first
asiyst login
# Create a project interactively
asiyst projects create --name "Docs Portal" --domain "https://docs.mysite.com"
Project Identifiers
Every project is automatically assigned two core credentials:
- Public Project ID (
proj_...): The unique string identifier sent by the client SDK to locate your project.
- Public SDK Key (
pk_live_...): The cryptographically generated browser key validated against your allowed domain whitelist.
View these credentials anytime under Project Settings.
Environments
Projects can be toggled between two environment modes:
- Development: Relaxed domain checking, verbose client logging, and test model endpoints.
- Production: Strict domain enforcement, rate-limit protections, and high-availability endpoints.
